What is the best free mmorpg out right now?

I want to play an mmorpg that will keep me busy till guild wars 2 comes out.What is the best free mmorpg out right now?
Most MMORPG's which are free I found extremely boring.

I played WoW for 5 years but that is boring too now, and at the moment I play DC Universe Online which I think is a fantastic! game.



I did try to play Vindictus, but the bastards only covered it in their area... So waiting fr Europe Vindictus too now.



Uhm.. Why does it have to be an MMO though?

There are plenty of other games that you can waste your time one which are still free..



League of Legends for example. Good game, free and a lot to use.

If you like racing games there is always Trackmania Nations Forever on steam.



Or some browser games, flash games like Runescape, or go on kongregate and try and get a lot of badges, that is a real time waster as you easily get addicted to getting badges xD

Well, you have a few options, but the number one mmorpg at the moment, is "Runescape". It is based around your character in a medevil time, starting out at level 3, finding his way in the world. You can do quests, fight monsters, buy and sell for a living, chat with people and get higher skill in each aspect of the game (woodcutting, mining, fishing, summoning).

Runescape is free to play but if you want to get more exclusive features, and acces "Member" servers, you can pay around 3.50gbp or $5 per month. I don't reccomend you do this though, its a waste of money for something you can get for free.

Also, you don't need to download ANYTHING. The whole game is played from the browser.What is the best free mmorpg out right now?

Well Second Life isn't really a mmorpg... more like a 3D chat game.

Well, depending on your tastes on mmorpgs here is some.

You can try Vindictus which is a hack and slash mmo with plenty of players but is only available in Canada/North America.

You can try Alantica Online if you like some turned based battles.

Runes of Magic if you are a fantasy fan.

Probably Second Life. But people get addicted really fast, and I've met ALOT of people on the game who think Second Life is real life. And real life is just an extention of the game. It's an amazing game, but some wierd people on there man.
You can play world of warcraft on a private server. I've got a few friends who do that.
Try Code of Everand. It's keeping me busy :)
Tibia. Dated, but the client is tiny (20mb-ish) and it is a lot better than most MMOs out there.
