Will there ever be an MMORPG more successful then World of Warcraft?

I play world of warcraft occasionally and am starting to get bored of it. I am just wondering if someone out there knows about a game that is being created, or has already been created and is climbing with popularity at an extroadinary rate that has the potential to overhaul the MMORPG giant "World of Warcraft", i would be extremely interested if you know one.Will there ever be an MMORPG more successful then World of Warcraft?
Not yet, but the supposed take over is coming. Not too long ago, Bioware, EA and Lucusarts announced Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Online. This game is going to be 10x bigger than every single bioware game combined and (with all the DLC) KOTAR 3 4 5 6 7 ect. That's a difficult question to answer, as we never know what developers will create next, what is for certain however, is that the MMO will have to be revolutionary to a new level to pull all 11.5 million players over to it. Honestly I don't see it happening in the near future, Blizzard just has so much influence on the MMO market right now, but World of Warcraft can't keep making expansions indefinitely can it? Either way, I look forward to seeing a game so good it becomes the new WoW, but I'lll be sad to see it go, as I play it myself.Will there ever be an MMORPG more successful then World of Warcraft?
There is not a game more populer than world of warcraft atm, but that depends on your intrests and personal desisions. You will find the further you get in the game the more you will start enjoying it. Hit 60 and start raiding you will love the epics and the game much much more.Will there ever be an MMORPG more successful then World of Warcraft?
There are other games such as Everquest, not nothing that will ever be as large as WOW, and as for what Lynnc said, thats a good way to get banned or hacked.
I don't think that time is close to now since wow as 10million+ users and popularity lvl is really high, in the futur there might be another game that will rival WoW since they will ran out of expension packs and stuff someday.
Right now, there really aren't any games that can rival WoW, but forever is a long time, so I'm sure eventually there will be a game that will be more popular than WoW. WoW's popularity can't stay on top forever.
There will always be a better game. This same question was asked back when Ultima Online was the king, then later on when it was Everquest.



At some point, someone will create a game that kills WoW, but that time is not now.
