most korean or any asian games are sneaky.. they promise you free gameplay but once you get to a level where gear becomes critical they drown you with purchasable items (real money). if its not gear, its like an EXP++ item that can be bought with real money to aid leveling (grinding).

requiem and flyff are good at these scams. tried them both. theyre a blast for the first 50 levels. then boom!
STAY AWAY FROM WORLD OF WARCRAFT. i played that game for 4 years i'm sick of it i recently quit it for some shooting.(the 4 years of playing is probley why...) http://mmohub.org/ heres a good site for looking up free games. if you wan't heres some p2p games (pay to play). i'd sugest city of heros first then you should try lord of the rings online then final fantisy 1. THIS GAME IS THE ONE IM DEFENTITLY GETTING IT WAS ANOUNCED AT E3 A WHILE AGO IT LOOKS AWSOME (pretty much every game at e3 is awsome) http://e3.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/696鈥?/a> ....and with p2p games they don't have items you pay for f2p(free to play) games have the $ for items to help keep the game up how els are they going to get paid? but p2p games don't need the extra $ to keep there games up
I would suggest Regnum Online for FTP. Its completely free and quite interesting. go to regnumonline.com.ar (that is the website) and also there is a Wiki: regnum.wikia.com

And by the way, Syrtis is better than the other Realms (My opinion ^^)
There are many good MMORPGs. I can suggest to you a website where you can find many MMORPGs. http://www.mmosite.com/

Here are my suggestions:

Runes of Magic

Perfect World

The Chronicles of Spellborn (TCoS)

Requiem:Bloodymare (Really bloody.)
I am looking for some to but they are all downloads and I am only allowed to download stuff for the sims 3.
Are you looking for retail or free games?

For retail fare, you can pick from any of the usual suspects, like World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Guild Wars, and Age of Conan.

There are also some really interesting ones coming out in the future, like Aion: The Tower of Eternity, APB, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and The Agency, if you wanna keep tabs on them.

One of the places I tend to gravitate towards when looking for any MMO-related news is Massively (http://www.massively.com/), a blog which delivers a lot of MMO-related news and content, though most of the news they have are for retail MMO's.

I'm not as experienced on the free side, but Sony recently opened up Free Realms to the public, and I've heard some pretty good things about it, but I've never played it myself. You could also go for some of the more popular Korean MMO's, like ROSE Online, Silk Road, or Flyff. If you're familiar with the Persona series on the PS2, you might enjoy Shin Megami Tensei Online.

There's a Free2Play section of the MMO resources site Curse (http://f2p.curse.com/), which could point you to some great MMO's if you stay on the lookout.

MMO's are a dime a dozen these days, so it may take you some time to find that real gem. Just keep on the lookout, and maybe you'll run into something you can really enjoy. Good luck!
Look at http://mmohut.com/ for a directory of free MMOs and MMORPGs. If you'd prefer to see a massive 'list' with reviews / exp rate / playerbase and such check out http://mmohut.com/gamelist

I use that site to find new games to play / read up on ones I heard about. Good resource.
